Clean area= Cleaner Install
It is best but not necessary to have
your car washed and vacuumed the day before the tint is installed
but strongly suggested if you have pets in the car often.
Anything in the air or in the car can cause excessive dirt or hair
to stick to the window film. No tint job can be perfect but there is
a limit to the contamination between the window and film, having a
clean area will give better results. Check your car and remove
valuables and items that can get in the way. We are not
thieves but to keep fraud down we cannot be responsible for
lost or stolen Items..no exceptions.
Residential & Commercial. Move
furniture that can get in the way, keep pets and people out of the
area. Do not vacuum the same day as installation. Turn furnace
or ac off in the area. We can or you remove curtains or
blinds. If the outside of your windows are very dirty it would help
to have them cleaned ahead of time so you can see the full effect
of the films you choose.
Child Car Seats
Remove them ahead of time, or we can but
we will not reinstall the seat.
It's Normal
Tint can take up to 30 days for some
films to fully cure, don't worry if there are tiny bubbles or a hazy
look it will clear in time. Do not touch it!
Do not..
Clean your windows for 10 days, then
do so gently until 30 days have passed. Do not roll down car windows
for seven days in cold weather, three days in warm weather, the
longer the better. If you do roll down your window too soon,
call us as soon as it happens. Since we do tape the window
switches and warn customers not to roll the windows down,
you will be charged for a strip & retint if the film is
damaged unless you can bring it back as soon as possible. Do not use
products with ammonia or abrasive towels. Do not pick at the tint or
try to push the bubbles or water out yourself, call us
first.
You will notice
Baby powder and /or water on your car, we
do not wash the cars after installation. Depending on how close you
live to a tower, your am reception could be affected when certain
films are used. On rear windows at night there could be
defogger line distortion, this is normal and cannot be avoided on
some cars.
Some films
Like Ceramic could have ghosting ( faint shrink lines)or
reflections that cannot be avoided depended on the curve of
your glass. It is only noticable in direct light
and is not a problem for most people, if it would bother
you we suggest not getting a ceramic film. FYI that is the way
you can tell you have a real ceramic film and not a hybrid
film.
Paint Protection/Clear Bra
Be prepared to leave your car all day
some cases a few days. The film needs time to dry and applying the
film isn't easy, it is a long process and must be done right. Never
be in a hurry with window tint or paint protection..time isn't as
important as the finished look with patience. Care and cleaning is
important or you could damage the film and void your
warranty. Always wipe bugs off of the film as soon as
possible or it could damage it just like it does to your paint.
Do not neglect the film, it must be maintained to keep it looking
clear and keep it from yellowing. Do not use automatic car
washes, do not pick at the film, wax with a quality wax that
doesn't leave residue, Plexus is great. If you have a build up
around the lines please call us and we'll take care of
